Visible Energy Demonstrates “EnergyUFO for iPad”

Mobile App Controls Home Energy Management System Products To Be Offered By Electric Utilities
HANNOVER, GERMANY and PALO ALTO, CA -- 19 April, 2010 -- Visible Energy Inc. today began the first public previews of the EnergyUFO for iPad, an application capable of controlling Visible Energy's Internet-enabled, Wi-Fi-based home energy management system.
The system is centered around the EnergyUFO Power Center, which has four Visible Energy Smart Outlets that can be controlled wirelessly over the a home network. The EnergyUFO software application displays energy usage and provides remote control and programming capabilities. The application is available for Apple’s iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.

Besides iPad and iPhone, the company’s devices also connect to the innovative Visible Energy Customer Portal, which allows customers to see their current and historic energy usage and control individual Smart Outlets.
The preview is taking place 19-23 April at Hannover Messe 2010, the world's leading industrial technology event, attended by about 200,000 business professionals from around the world. Visible Energy is demonstrating in the U.S. Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Solutions Park Pavilion, Hall 27, Stand A40.
Visible Energy helps electricity consumers save energy, reduce their carbon footprint, and stop wasting money. The company offers a unique family of energy management tools, including Wi-Fi-enabled electrical outlets, power strips, software, an online energy management portal for customers and mobile client software.
Customers use Visible Energy technology and services to see how current electricity usage compares to historic usage, observe how their power is being used, and learn how their conservation efforts save money by stopping energy waste.
Products
All Visible Energy hardware products feature our unique Smart Outlet technology. Each outlet is Wi-Fi-enabled and can be remote-controlled from any Web browser or our smartphone software. Each outlet stores usage information and scheduled on/off programming in memory--no full-time Internet or wireless connection is required. Our system is compatible with existing home Wi-Fi wireless networks.
The Visible Energy Monostrip is a corded Smart Outlet intended for use with major appliances and other high-consumption devices. Besides our remote control and measurement features, the Monostrip is also a power filter and surge suppressor. LEDs and an LCD display provide status information to the user.
The EnergyUFO Power Center features four Smart Outlets in a unique form factor that has been compared to a flying saucer. It offers all the features of the Monostrip, but offers four smart Outlets and is intended for normal household use. A multicolor LED provides status information to the user.
The EnergyUFO iPhone App -- shown in the U.S. government's National Broadband Plan -- is an example of how mobile users will be able to view power usage and control Smart Outlets from wherever they happen to be.
Manufacturing
Visible Energy recently concluded an agreement under which Cameo Communications, Inc., a leading Taiwanese manufacturer of telecommunications and Wi-Fi devices, will build the company's products.

Distribution
Visible Energy’s products and services will be available to customers in the second half of 2010 and are currently undergoing private trials and testing. The company’s products will be sold to customers through electric companies and other channels.
The EnergyUFO iPhone app is available free at the iTunes App store. The iPad version will be posted shortly, although the iPhone version also works on the iPad.
